Which water filter is best for the Costa del Sol?
The best solution depends on what you want to improve. A carbon block filter is usually suitable for reducing chlorine, unwanted taste and a wide range of potential impurities. Choose a system with limescale reduction if limescale is your main concern, or reverse osmosis if you want more comprehensive filtration of dissolved substances.
Can the filter connect to my existing kitchen tap?
Most of our standard under-sink filters can connect directly to the existing cold-water supply and kitchen tap. This normally means that no additional tap or drilling in the countertop is needed. Reverse osmosis systems require a separate filtered-water tap.
How much does installation cost?
Installation costs €30 in Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Calahonda and Marbella. Installation in the Málaga area and Estepona costs €50.
How often should the cartridge be replaced?
For most systems, the cartridge should be replaced every 12-24 months. The exact interval depends on the selected filter, water quality and consumption.
Do your filters remove limescale?
Selected systems, including Oceano and Blackline RO, reduce limescale. Standard activated carbon filters are primarily intended to reduce chlorine, unwanted taste, odour and selected contaminants—not water hardness.
Do the filters produce wastewater?
Our standard activated carbon and limescale-reduction filters do not produce wastewater. Reverse osmosis uses a separate wastewater stream as part of its filtration process.
